FBT Education, Skills & Support for Parents & Caregivers
Getting started in the hard work of supporting your child/young adult with an eating disorder can be confusing and demanding. This 4-session online workshop*, based on FBT (Family-Based Treatment) and EFFT (Emotion-Focused Family Therapy) offers parents and caregivers practical skills and confidence needed to effectively, efficiently, and compassionately support their loved ones.
When: 4 Fridays from 1:30-3:30, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11
Where: Zoom
Cost: $880/4 sessions, due to hold your spot. Please inquire about sliding scale offerings for underrepresented groups. (Optional pre-group consultation available with one of the facilitators for $250 to help tailor the group to your needs.)

Facilitated by Elizabeth Burns Kramer, PhD, CEDS and Suzannah Neufeld, MFT, CEDS-S, psychotherapists and certified eating disorder specialists in private practice with many years of experience supporting individuals and families in eating disorder recovery. Elizabeth and Suzannah are founding members of connectED (https://www.connectedbayarea.com), an organization dedicated to serving the Bay Area eating disorder community.
*Note: This group is not meant to be psychotherapy or a substitute for psychotherapy. Families will be expected to have at least one supporting team member--MD, RD, or licensed therapist. Prior to the first group meeting, all families will complete one consultation session with Elizabeth or Suzannah to determine current needs and create a more personalized experience.
